At Wirrabirra Education Support Centre, inclusion is a collaborative and reciprocal process. We share a campus with Wirrabirra Primary School, both schools actively create opportunities for integration, with a strong focus on developing social skills and fostering a sense of belonging for all students.From the early years, social skill development is a key priority, as it underpins positive interactions and effective communication with peers and adults. Inclusive activities with Wirrabirra Primary School students provide valuable peer learning and modelling experiences, helping our students build confidence and meaningful connections.
Our dedicated staff support students during these interactions, guiding them in understanding and practising the social skills required to participate in shared activities and form friendships across the school community.Inclusion is embedded in everyday experiences such as shared sports, music, choir, camps, graduation events, playground interactions, incursions and positive behaviour programs — creating a rich, supportive environment where every student can thrive.
