How to Enrol
Students must satisfy certain criteria to enrol into an Education Support Centre. They must have either:
· An intellectual disability, usually diagnosed by a psychologist who assesses cognitive functioning, adaptive functioning & developmental / background history or
· High-needs autism (level 3) diagnosed by eligible practitioners.
· In some cases children with a physical disability or diagnosed mental health issues may be able to enrol.
To enrol your child into Wirrabirra Education Support Centre it is recommended that an Application for Enrolment is completed and submitted along with a copy of your child’s full diagnosis report. The Principal will then assess whether your child meets the eligibility criteria. An appointment to meet with the Principal can also be organised.
Each Application for Enrollment is considered on an individual basis and must be reviewed and approved by the school principal. As part of this process, the school psychologist may be consulted.
